On Windows 10, the Lock screen has a feature called “Windows Spotlight”, which automatically sets and rotates beautiful high-resolution images as backgrounds every time you sign in to your PC.
This feature isn’t available for the desktop, but there is a free app called “Lock Screen Reflection” that makes super simple to set your current Lock screen wallpaper from Windows Spotlight as your desktop wallpaper.

How to use Lock Screen Reflection
- Download Lock Screen Reflection from this site.
- Double-click the zip folder and extract its content to a new folder.
- Double-click the lsr.exe file.
- This application requires .NET Framework 3.5 to work, if you don’t have it installed, you’ll be prompted to install it. Simply follow the on-screen directions to set it up.
- In the SmartScreen warning, click the More link, and then click Run anyway to complete the task.
Once you completed the steps, the current Lock screen background will set automatically as your desktop wallpaper.
Download Lock Screen Reflection from this site.
