The Easiest Way Take a Screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or Note 10+

If you’re using your Galaxy Note 10 or Note 10+ and you need to take a quick screenshot, the easiest way to do it to swipe your palm (or, more accurately, the side of your palm) straight across the screen. You can swipe either right-to-left or left-to-right, but, if you haven’t already, you may need to set the option up in Settings.

  • Go to Settings > Advanced features.
  • Select Motion and gestures.
  • Then tap to enable Palm swipe to capture.

How to Capture Screenshots With the S Pen on Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+

Another easy way to grab a screenshot on the Note 10 or Note 10+ is to use the S Pen and the Air Command menu.

Go to Settings > Advanced features.

Select Motion and gestures.

Then tap to enable Palm swipe to capture.

  • Navigate to the screen you wan to screenshot and then remove your S Pen from its dock.
  • In the Air Command menu that appears, tap Screen Write.
  • If you already have your S Pen out, then all you need to do is navigate to the screen you want to screenshot and then tap the Air Command menu and select Screen Write.
  • You can also set up your S Pen to take a screenshot automatically when you press the button on the pen. To set that up, go to Settings > Advanced features > S Pen > Air Actions > Hold down Pen button to. Then, select Screen write.
  • If desired, you can use your S Pen to write on the screenshot you just captured. Otherwise, tap the Download arrow to save the screenshot to your Gallery.

How to Use Buttons to Take a Screenshot on the Galaxy Note 10 or Note 10+

If you’re more comfortable with using a button combination to take a screenshot, then you’re in luck. On the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ you press the Bixby and Volume down buttons at the same time to capture a screenshot. The screen will flash briefly and the screenshot will be saved to the Gallery.

Navigate to the screen you wan to screenshot and then remove your S Pen from its dock.

In the Air Command menu that appears, tap Screen Write.

If you already have your S Pen out, then all you need to do is navigate to the screen you want to screenshot and then tap the Air Command menu and select Screen Write.

How to Use Bixby to Take a Screenshot on the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+

If you prefer to use your voice to take a screenshot on the Galaxy Note 10 or Note 10+, you can do that as long as you have Bixby enabled. On the content you want to screenshot, just enable Bixby (either using the Bixby button or the “Hey Bixby” command) and say, “Take a screenshot.” The screenshot will be captured and sent to your Gallery.

If you’re using the voice command to take a screenshot, you can pair commands to do more with your screenshots. For example, you can say, “Take a screenshot, and send it to Twitter,” to open a Twitter post with the screenshot attached.
