This article explains how to see who has saved your Instagram post and how many times it’s been saved.

  • The only way to see who has saved your post is to ask your followers in an Instagram Story.To see how many people saved it, go to Settings > Account > Switch to Business Account or Switch to Creator Account > View insights.

Ask Your Followers If They’ve Saved Your Instagram Posts

This straightforward procedure is the only way to see who’s saved your posts.

  • Tap the post you want to ask your followers about.
  • Take a screenshot of the Instagram post’s page.
  • Tap the Home icon to return to your main Instagram feed.
  • Tap the Stories icon (which looks like a camera) in the top left corner to begin a new Instagram Story.
  • Swipe up to browse for the screenshot of your Instagram post.
  • Tap the screenshot image to add it to your Story.
  • Tap the Text icon to add a message to your followers—in this case, something like “Who saved this post?”
  • If you want to engage with your followers, try asking a question with an Instagram questions sticker.
  • Tap Done when you’re finished.
  • Make the text smaller by pinching the screen; drag two fingers apart to enlarge it.
  • Tap Your stories to publish the story to your followers. They will be able to reply via a direct message.

See How Many Times Your Post Has Been Saved

If you have a Personal account, you must first switch it to a free Business or Creator account by selecting Settings > Account, then choosing Switch to Business Account or Switch to Creator Account. Follow the prompts to complete the process. Then:

Tap the post you want to ask your followers about.

Take a screenshot of the Instagram post’s page.

Tap the Home icon to return to your main Instagram feed.

Tap the Stories icon (which looks like a camera) in the top left corner to begin a new Instagram Story.

Swipe up to browse for the screenshot of your Instagram post.

Tap the screenshot image to add it to your Story.

Tap the Text icon to add a message to your followers—in this case, something like “Who saved this post?”

If you want to engage with your followers, try asking a question with an Instagram questions sticker.

Tap Done when you’re finished.

  • Tap View Insights under the image or video. A variety of stats will appear. The bookmark icon refers to how many times someone has saved this post to one of their Collections.

Seeing who saves your posts on Instagram can be more important than tracking the number of likes because saving a post to an Instagram Collection means someone not only likes your content but wants to share it or refer back to it. Short of asking your followers, however, there’s no way to see who saved your Instagram posts or to what collections. The reason for this limitation is likely privacy.

Tap the Profile icon to view your posts. It looks like a silhouette.

Tap the post you want to view the save count for.

Tap View Insights under the image or video. A variety of stats will appear. The bookmark icon refers to how many times someone has saved this post to one of their Collections.

  • To view posts you’ve previously liked, tap your Instagram profile icon in the app. Tap the menu icon (three lines), go to Settings > Account > Posts You’ve Liked. You can view only the 300 most recent posts that you’ve liked.
  • How do you view archived posts on Instagram?
  • To view your archived Instagram posts, tap your profile > menu icon (three lines) > Archive.
  • How do you repost an Instagram story?
  • To repost an Instagram story, tap the paper airplane below the post, then select Add post to your story. For this to work, the other account must be public with post sharing or story sharing turned on.

To view posts you’ve previously liked, tap your Instagram profile icon in the app. Tap the menu icon (three lines), go to Settings > Account > Posts You’ve Liked. You can view only the 300 most recent posts that you’ve liked.

To view your archived Instagram posts, tap your profile > menu icon (three lines) > Archive.

To repost an Instagram story, tap the paper airplane below the post, then select Add post to your story. For this to work, the other account must be public with post sharing or story sharing turned on.
