Microsoft Edge now lets you send open tabs to another computer running Windows 10 and macOS, or mobile devices, including Android and iOS.

The new feature appears in the latest stable version of the browser, and it has been designed to end the need to manually having to email or text a link to yourself.

In this guide, you will learn the steps to send a tab to another device on Microsoft Edge.

Send tabs to other devices on Microsoft Edge

To send tabs to other devices, sign in to Edge with your Microsoft account, and use these steps:

  • Open Microsoft Edge.
  • Open the website you want to send to another device.
  • Click the address bar to reveal additional buttons.
  • Click the Send this page (computer with phone icon) button.
  • Microsoft Edge send page option
  • Select the device you want to send the page.

Once you complete the steps, the web page won’t magically load on Microsoft Edge. Instead, on Windows 10, for example, you will receive a toast notification with the name and link of the page. If you don’t see the alert, open Action Center to reach it.

Open Microsoft Edge.

Open the website you want to send to another device.

Click the address bar to reveal additional buttons.

Click the Send this page (computer with phone icon) button.

Microsoft Edge send page option

Select the device you want to send the page.

Alternatively, you can also right-click the page, select the Send page to your devices submenu, and select the destination device.

If you are on iOS, you can use the Share button available in the top-right corner. Or if you are on Android, click the Share button and then the Send to devices option.

While the feature is out of beta, it’s only available for the desktop version of Microsoft Edge. At the time of this writing, if you want to send pages from Android or iOS, you need to have the Canary or Dev version of the browser installed on your phone device.
