The new Pokemon titles, Scarlet and Violet, have made several changes to the gameplay. One of the major changes is the addition of Pokemon Academy. Unlike the previous iterations, you start as a student at the Naranja or Uva Academy according to your version. There, you will meet many interesting teachers who will give you rewards. During the lecture, the teachers will explain a certain aspect of the game or its mechanic. Then, after three lectures, you can take the Midterms for each subject. And then Finals after three more. However, these lectures depend on Badge progression. Meaning you need a certain amount of badges to unlock them. Once you complete these exams, you can talk to the NPC at the front desk to collect your rewards.
You can also access the side quest by interacting with the computer beside this desk. It will show all the rooms in the Academy. The ones with an exclamation mark near them have side quests. You can go there and interact with the teachers to start them. They will give you unique rewards like the Galarian Meowth from Mr. Salvatore.
